European Shark Week 9-17 October 2010

From 9-17 was opened in October, as every year, the European Shark Week, which Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium participated with some special activities and an awareness campaign on shark finning, a cruel practice that involves the removal of shark fins for food and for traditional cures. The intention is, once again, to bring the audience of young and old alike to these feared, as little-known animals, sharks, and that too often in too many places are indiscriminately killed and maimed, thus risking the decimation in some areas of the world.

Among the activities Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium organized on this occasion there will be:

-the screening of a movie, produced by Channel Experience the sea and turned in our Aquarium, on the subject of predators, particularly sharks as a vital link in the marine food chain, every day cinema;

- the feeding of sharks live in the ocean tank, which you can watch comfortably seated on the steps of Juliet's balcony, with an attached explanatory presentation on these animals, every day;

- signs scattered along the route with news and curiosity about sharks;

- GIOCASQUALO: an exciting quizzes open to large and small, through which you can win cool gadget, which will take place at Juliet's balcony on Saturday and Sunday in two times of the day at 11.00 and 15.30.
